Cultivating creativity and collaboration in a child-centered environment.

Program Name: Children’s House Community (3 years – 6 years)

The Children’s House classroom at Flower Mound Montessori School serves children aged 3 to 6, emphasizing the importance of “freedom” at this developmental stage. Children can select their own work and engage in activities introduced by their teachers, fostering self-discipline and mastery within established boundaries. Our goal is to promote conceptual understanding through Montessori materials and a customized curriculum, with highly-trained instructors facilitating each child’s development.

The mixed-age setting allows younger students to learn from older peers while older students take on leadership roles, creating a dynamic learning environment. The curriculum includes Language, Mathematics, Practical Life, Sensorial, and Cultural Studies, focusing on independence, focus, coordination, organization, and a love for learning. Students will begin reading and writing and explore gardening and physical activities with peers.

Children are naturally eager to tackle challenging tasks, and our educators encourage this enthusiasm by engaging in indoor and outdoor activities. Flower Mound Montessori School holds two Parent-Teacher conferences each year, with additional meetings available by appointment.
